Lion House Sweet and Sour Chicken

2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons of egg Whites (or 1 Egg)
6 tablespoons cornstarch or flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 cup chicken Broth
7 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoon soy sauce
7 to 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Preheat Oven at 326 degrees

First I cut up the chicken in to bite size pieces.  I then put the garlic salt and pepper on the chicken breast and I let it sit for about 20 mins to let it absorb some of the taste. While that was sitting I combined the rest of the ingredients accept for the Egg and 3 TBS of cornstarch.

After the chicken has sat I put it into a cake pan and put the egg inside.  I mixed it so that the eggs can get all over the chicken.  After that I put the egg whites in I then put 3 TBS of  flour and mixed it up also to create a nice coat for the chicken. Once you have completed that step put all the mixed ingredients into the cake pan.
Cook for an hour!

You can put this in a tortilla or put it over rice! YUMMY! I really enjoyed this!

Fruit Leather

1. 3 cups of any fruit
2. 1/4 tsp cinnamon

I blended the fruit and put the cinnamon in.  Once I did that I put down parchment paper on a cookie sheet and put the smoothy mixture into the cookie sheet.  Then I put in the oven for about 6 hours (it might be more time based on location and oven) on the lowest temperature.

Another way you can do this is put into the dehydrator (make sure you still put parchment paper so it wont get through the holes).  Set dehydrator at 105 degrees F for about 8 to 10 hours.  Good luck!

Baked Apple Chips

My sister has this dehydrator that I LOVE and when we were roomies we would always dehydrate food. Well now that we are no longer roommates I thought, I wonder if baking apples and putting cinnamon would work.  So I set out to find a recipe.

RECIPE
The recipe said to slices apples. Put them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Put in the over at 275 degree for 2 hours.  Before you put them in the oven sprinkle cinnamon. Its important that you check your apples ever 30 mins because each apple has a difference in thickness.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I personally like dehydrators a lot better.  Next time I want to add sugar and cinnamon.  I would also put it in the oven at a lower temperature maybe just 200 degrees. But these apples are still a very healthy snack.
